Do tanning beds accomodate a plus size person?
I know, it seems really weird, but I cannot find any information on this on the web. So I was just wondering, can a tanning bed at a regular salon, such as fabutan, hold a plus size person?
Yes they can. I have many plus-size friends that tan; one was actually at 350 lbs until she had her doctor-ordered gastric bypass…and she tanned every summer in tanning beds. The acrylic that covers the bulbs is very tough, and hard to break. If the regular, base-line tanning beds don't feel comfortable to you, you can always try a high pressure tanning bed…they are almost always larger beds, so you can stretch out a bit more in them.

Yes. They are built extremely tough and the glass they use can withstand several hundred pounds of pressure.

That is a good question. I have searched the net myself but found nothing. But when I did go to the tanning salon( The Tan Company) I found that some of the level 4 tanning beds were wider and there was more than enough room and it was sturdy. A standup booth might be an idea also.
